The Counter Wallet in Black by Porter Yoshida & Co. is a bi-fold wallet crafted from Beef Steer. Beef steer is tanned with chrome, tannins and resins which are soaked into the fibers to create a fine texture. In addition, it was flattened and smoothed by a vacuum dryer, then rubbed and coated with paint and synthetic resin, resulting in a glossy and moderately soft leather. The interior utilises horse leather, while delicate double-stitched details add depth to the piece. Finished off with a note compartment, card slots, and a coin case.

Porter Yoshida & Co’s mastery of bag manufacturing dates all the way back to 1935, when Kichizo Yoshida began handcrafting backpacks, satchels, wallets, and briefcases in Tokyo’s Kanda-Sudacho district. Almost a century later, their bags have a well-deserved cult following – earnt through an unchanging commitment to artisanal production and exclusivity. The brand has become synonymous with seamless practicality and timeless quality, thus evolving into something more than just an accessory – they’re a statement all on their own.
